UV7 Design Studio was founded out of a straightforward frustration with how interiors are usually sold in India — as a package of shutters and finishes, priced per square foot, with the design treated as decoration applied at the end.

We work the other way round. The plan comes first: how the household moves through the day, where the storage has to go, which walls the eye lands on, how the light changes from morning to evening. The finishes are the last decision, not the first, and by the time we reach them most of the important questions have already been answered.

That approach applies whether the project is a single room or a full property, a family apartment or a commercial floor. It also means we are genuinely interested in the practical parts of a brief — the awkward corner, the wardrobe that is never big enough, the kitchen that has to work for two cooks at once. Beauty that ignores those things does not last.

Our work is documented carefully enough that it can be executed well anywhere in the country, which is what allows us to take on projects beyond our immediate city.
